| 1962 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce...an original, rare 1300 cc VELOCE model, chassis number confirmed by the Alfa Romeo Museo Storico. Manufactured in late 1960, but sold as a 1962 model. Photos are of car just before restoration was started.Car had one-family ownership in the midwest before I brought it to CA. Was being driven when purchased, but restoration has already begun, so engine and trans are currently out of the car. It is a roller - ready for body work and paint. Considerable work has already been performed: 1) new rear axle bearings and seals, 2) new diff pinion shaft seal and lower cover seals, 3) gas tank interior cleaned and exterior media blasted/repainted, 4) all 4 brake drums media blasted, 5) new front brake wheel cylinders, 6) rebuilt rear brake wheel cylinders, 7) all new brake flex hoses and hard lines in rear, 8) brake system completely flushed/bled, 8) all new Centerline performance springs and KYB/Gabriel (F/R) gas shocks, 9) new front suspension limit cables, 10) new rear suspension limit straps, 11) new Alfa OEM trailing arm bushings and Performatek polyurethane bushings everywhere else, 11) Pirelli P3 155-15 (original size) tires have essentially no mileage on them. Aside from a few missing components, car is pretty much complete, but in need of thorough restoration...how far you want to take it is up to you. It can easily be made into a very nice driver...or taken all the way up to show car status. NOTE: This car WILL need some body work. Both rocker panels have been redone by previous owner, but there is typical rust just under the battery box and in front floor boards. Also some rust in the vicinity of one trailing arm attachment point. Front nose was not properly aligned in a previous repair, and should have a small "lip" section just in front of the hood refitted (I can get the piece).If you know these cars, you also know how rare a true Veloce is becoming.
